You can also add extra money to your plan. This will be placed in our independent trust fund, which is set up to hold customers' money separately from the provider's business. This extra money can be used for things outside of the plan's services we have already discussed. You can add funds towards things such as a wake, celebration of life service or a memorial. Adding extra money to your plan isn't a guarantee to cover the future cost of any service, but it can ensure your family won't have to find all of the funds at a distressing time.
At the point the funeral is needed, we'll transfer these funds to the independent funeral director along with your wish as to what it's used for. They will liaise with your family and help, where they can, in facilitating your wishes.
To make you aware, any contribution you make towards specific wishes must be paid in one transaction, the cost cannot be split over a direct debit.
